Squinty McGinty are either a four piece band comprising Fiddle, Guitar, Bass and Accordion, or a five piece including our lady singer.

For most events we also include a caller to lead the dancing.

We’re based around Portsmouth on the south coast and will happily travel anywhere in Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex and the surrounding areas although we may charge a bit extra for travel where appropriate.

A barn-dance is ideal for making your wedding reception, anniversary party or social evening a lively and memorable occasion.   We have played for literally hundreds, each is different but all allow your guests an opportunity to socialise in a way which they will remember with a smile for years to come.

Charges

Our charges are competitive.   For a wedding for example we charge around £500 for a four-piece band plus caller,  or £550 for a five piece, including lady singer and caller

We  play for a whole evening,  usually two sets of around 90 minutes each,  typically  7:30-11:00 pm with a 30 minute break, although we will fit in with your particular requirements
